KNOPPIX
merupakan Distro Linux Live yg pertama, akan tetapi Knoppix
juga bisa di install di Harddisk dan berjalan seperti
umumnya OS. Knoppix adalah CD/DVD bootable dengan koleksi
software GNU / Linux, deteksi hardware otomatis, dan
dukungan untuk kartu grafis banyak, sound card, perangkat
SCSI dan USB dan peripheral lainnya.
KNOPPIX 6.7.1 mengunakan LXDE sebagai desktop defaultnya & Distro ini
bersifat Live yang juga telah memuat banyak software GNU,
automatic hardware detection, dan juga mendukung graphics
cards, sound cards, SCSI and USB devices dan banyak
peripherals lainnya.
KNOPPIX dapat
digunakan sebagai Linux Demo, education, rescue system, atau
juga di gunakan untuk produksi (office, programmer dll).
