Solaris adalah operating system, Merupakan salah satu varian UNIX yg di developed oleh oracle, pada awalnya di buat dg BSD UNIX, yg juga di sebut SunOS.  

Pergeseran dari System V code base di SunOS 5 di tandai dg berubahnya nama ke Solaris 2. Solaris cukup consisten dalam menjadikan SunOS UNIX sebagai operating system yg berkemampuan GUI, Solaris yg saya tawarkan adalah solaris yg jalan di PC/x86.
